An Update on Mark Bess

Apparently he has had a change of heart. I saw the e-mail I posted in my entry entitled “Because He Asked So Nicely” making its way across several blogs from myself and other blogs. While I did not have a chance to write a letter to Mark myself due to my laptop going into a coma over the weekend, others did.One such individual, Joe Brummer, wrote an e-mail to Mark detailed in post on his blog. Apparently Mark wrote him back stating:

I posted an apology the next day on the internet for my intolerable remarks about the gay lifestyle. Let me assure you that I do Not hate anyone although I can see that the tone of my letter would have indicated that. Once again, I apologize and in the future I will strive to be more sensitive and tolerable, as good people should.

I wonder if al Gayda really did get woken up for this. For those of you not familiar with the reference, Margaret Cho received a barrage of hatemail from neoconservatives after comments she made about George W Bush at a MoveOn.Org fundraiser. She posted the e-mails, complete with return addresses and whatnot, on her website. Her fans apparently did not take a liking to it and decided to e-mail these lovely individuals. Margaret got a lot of apologies in return.
