WND Drama Queens and the Poster Jihad

Forget about the Middle East and that whole Muslim versus Jew thing there, according to the drama queens over at WorldNetDaily we have a our own holy war brewing in our backyard. The particular jihad is over a school mandate to hang posters that declare the school "safe space" for lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgendered youth in a San Francisco area school. Five teachers are balking at the idea and have so far kept their mouths shut on their reasons as to why.

As you can see from the copy of the poster I have provided on the right, there is nothing that endorses homosexuality, speaks of its approval, or anything else. It merely states that the school is a safe space where the staff and faculty will actually do something about anti-gay harassment and bullying without the need for a lawsuit to force the issue as it has has to be in some other cases.

Personally I think WND is being a little melodramatic in its characterization of the dispute as a "holy war". Have they been ignoring the tensions in the Middle East that has gone on for decades now and the various calls for religious wars that have been made there?

Some people just need to genuflect in that direction constantly I guess.
