AFA Finds Something New to Complain About in ‘Will and Grace’
Posted on | February 3, 2006
Now that ‘The Book of Daniel’ is closed the American Family Association is proving to us once again that these people have way too much time on their hands and need to get real jobs by attacking an episode of ‘Will & Grace’ set to air on April 13th this year in the show’s final season. The plot arc involves the purchasing of the gay TV network Jack works for being purchased by a Christian broadcaster. A conservative Christian co-host, played by Britney Spears in her first appearance since the birth of her son, will have an Easter episode cooking feature on Jack’s show called "Cruci-fixin’s" which, according to the trolls at the AFA will "mock the crucifixion of Christ".
As I read the article on MSNBC it really drove home how pointless the AFA can be at times. Using a play on the word "crucifixion" does not demean it. The 1993 musical Nunsense would be more guilty of something like that with the segment "Baking with the BVM" (BVM is Blessed Virgin Mary) which Rue McClanahan, Semina De Laurentis, and Terri White go through a Catholic-oriented cookbook written by the never-seen character Sister Julia Child-of-God. De Laurentis, as Sister Mary Amnesia, has a stand for the book that looks like a crucifix. But even more potential offensive is the fact that the recipes involve "bad things" including one sexual reference with the ‘Boy Scout Treats’ which involves getting twelve brownies real hot. For those of you not aware, Brownies are are to the Girl Scouts what Cub Scouts are to the Boy Scouts. I do not remember any outrage then and cannot find anything on Google about it either.
My advice to the AFA and its rabid, mindless followers is to just lighten up. Christianity is going to be the butt of many jokes and it will continue to happen. Not to mention Will & Grace is in its final season and pulling this bullshit now is just kicking it while it is town.

Of course, Jesus of Nazareth was the only person in the world to be crucified. Let’s forget the countless others who met the asame fate. Crucifixion was also mocked on “The Young Ones” By Neil, the hippie, who commented that self crucifixion never works as “No matter how hard you try, you can’t hammer in the last nail.”
Where was the AFA then, eh?
Christian Brown Shirt Training Camp???
