Parents Expose Their Son’s Questioning of His Sexuality in Order to “Save” Others

Posted on | February 9, 2006

Agape Press, the mouthpiece propaganda machine for the American Family Association posted a news story dragging out the old recruitment theory of how homosexuals grow in numbers by presenting us with a father who claims his son was recruited by homosexuals. The alleged recruitment occurred at the Governor’s School of North Carolina which bills itself as a place where gifted students go to explore a love of learning. The father claims a seminar called "The New Gay Teenager" is what made his son question his sexuality.

Of course this is some grand conspiracy on the part of the school too. The boy’s parents say that the seminar was scheduled at the tail end of the program to "leave a strong, lasting impression" and avoid having to tell parents about it. But the article neglects to focus on one word it used to describe the seminar which was "optional". So it is not some gay shepard herding kids into this seminar solely to boost the numbers of homosexuals. Their son chose to attend this seminar. And if he questioned his sexuality after this seminar, chances are he was questioning it before he went in too.

As AmericaBlog points out, Agape Press just essentially touted this teenager to who ever stumbles upon the Agape Press article and all to fan the flame of social conservative stupidity. Way to go! I am sure the teenager in question is living the idea of going to school tomorrow. The father in the article states that ""As far as our family is concerned, the damage has already been done" and that "there’s no way that we can go back and undo what has been done." No, you cannot undo the "damage", but apparently you decided to go ahead and make it worse just so you could "keep one other family from having to go through this". How noble. Make your son’s sexual identity national fodder in a pathetic attempt to "save" other families from dealing with reality. Here is a dose of reality for these parents. Barry Winchell, a soldier in the US Army, was murdered because he was perceived to be homosexual. They just advertised their son as a perceived homosexual to a potentially world-wide audience.

Another example of "loving" parents I guess.
