Two Soldiers Arraigned in Military Gay Porn Case

Arraignments have begun in the military gay porn "scandal" involving soldiers in the US Army’s famed 82nd Airborne who were involved with pornographic productions on the website ActiveDuty.Com. Pfc. Wesley K. Mitten who was arraigned Monday and Pvt. Kagen B. Mullen, arraigned Tuesday, have plead not guilty to charges of pandering, engaging in sex acts for financial gain, and sodomy. The third soldier facing charges, Spc. Richard T. Ashley, is still awaiting his arraignment on the same charges. Mullen is also being charged with adultery. The three are being tried in a special courts-martial. This means that the maximum sentences they can receive are a year in prison, forfeiture of of about eight months of pay, rank reduction, and a bad conduct discharge.
Four other soldiers, who have not been named, have received non-judicial punishments. The US Army is moving to discharge all seven.
