Stephen Harper Eats Babies

Several days ago, a hacker with an axe to grind with Canada’s Prime Minister, Stephen Harper, broke into the electronic signs that display information and advertisements to commuters of the GO transit system in Toronto and configured them to display "Stephen Harper Eats Babies. Stephen Harper Eats Babies. Stephen Harper Eats Babies." every three seconds. GO officials are still working to correct the problem and took the signs offline yesterday.

Stephen Harper is the head of the Conservative Party of Canada, commonly referred to as the "tories". He gained the position of Prime Minister after elections this past winter after the New Democratic Party pulled its support of the reigning liberal government which triggered the election of a new Parliament. Conservatives managed to win themselves a minority government. Harper fulfilled a campaign promise to once again open the debate on gay marriage after Canada became the fourth nation in the world to legalize marriage between individuals of the same sex in spite of the fact polls show about 2/3 of Canadians consider the issue over.
